Your Questions Asked…

What do you need to participate?

All you need to participate is an internet connection. All content is designed for you to be able to complete on your own, at your convenience. After you register, we will guide your Virtual Training Programme with instruction and how to access the videos. That covers the technology side, equipment is standard boots, uniform but essentially a partnership between you and your child along with ourselves to apply yourself fully to the programme in commitment and application. Talent is learned and developed not born.

How many training videos will I get?

Training content is divided into categories:
• 1. Skill training sessions with our Central and guest coaches
• 2. Ball mastery training with our Central and guest coaches.
All combined, there will be 14 videos of our basic training programme, however, further videos will be released, focusing on individual development content for you.

What if I don’t get one of the 20 spots?

At the launch of this event, we are accepting all applicants. The Central Programme Futures places are limited to 20 players that are assessed to be the most promising candidates.          After the trial process is complete. We will also offer places for the Central Academy teams and advise next steps for the players not making the Future Legends Programme

What if I am unavailable during some part of the programme?

No problem – you can complete activities on your own schedule. If you miss any of the training sessions, video sessions will be made available, however, may be limited in terms of team training sessions

How will I access the Future Legends Virtual Development Programme?

After you register, you will get exclusive access to Legend’s Virtual Training Videos. Our App will connect you to the community of players and our coaches which will help organise your entire virtual experience into one convenient location.

What is Video Review Evaluation?

The Video Review Evaluation is included in the programme, this is completed by Central coaches based on a review of the videos you send in. Our coaches will complete a feedback form on every video that is designed to let you know where you stand and guide your development efforts.

What is the Extended Player Video provision?

The Extended Video can be included in the programme and is completed by Central staff and coaches based on a review of your videos. Players will be provided with a ‘highlight’ video of videos provided by yourself and specific video footage taken at our training centre and matches. This facility is available on the anniversary of signing up to the Future Legends programme. Players who opt for an Extended Player Video will receive an achievement write-up on their year from our Central staff and coaches and is in addition to their Video Review Evaluation.

What kind of video should I upload?

Any video medium is acceptable. Options include a mobile, camera, iPad etc. Generally, more game footage provided is better, coaches require the footage to properly assess and advise on achievement and development needs.

What if I don’t have video?

No problem – you can still take advantage of the Future Legends Programme networking and training content however, we will find concise feedback difficult without video. If you still want to take advantage of the video option and are able to access video for a period will provide instructions for drills you should complete and film on your own to put into a video.

When is the deadline to register?

The deadline to register is at the end of December 2020. However, we expect places to fill up much sooner than that. The first 20 players to register will be accepted to the Trials. When those initial spaces are full, registration will only accept recommendations. The only way to guarantee a spot is to register before the end of December 2020.
